Are you familiar with the “clipping behaviour” in expaper? In the ‘Extras’ menu, you can configure basic settings, such as enabling one-step clipping, always placing at the end, or always omitting images. This way, you can avoid making adjustments every time and work even more efficiently with expaper.

“Converting color zones to grayscale”
This function converts all colour images on the target page to greyscale images when clipping. This feature is particularly useful if you wish to work exclusively with greyscale images to minimise file sizes. The function can also be activated manually via the context menu on the target page.

“Clipping without images”
If you want to exclude images throughout, e.g. for copyright reasons, this is the right setting for you. Individual images can be disabled using a button.

“Center horizontally” vs. “Center vertically”
When this setting is enabled, all clipped items are automatically centred, either vertically or horizontally.

“Direct clipping”
Direct clipping enables you to select, classify and clip articles in one step.
Simply press the SHIFT key and click the left mouse button to select the desired article.

“Images at the end”
This setting ensures that images are always placed at the end of the clipped article. This creates a consistent layout, even if the numbering sequence suggests a different arrangement.
